Do you remember the last thing you did for yourself without having the feeling of guilt inside you! Erratic right? Well, it has become a kind of normal feeling for all of us. It is said that guilt is one of the most powerful things that can change a human being. But what if we feel it every time without doing anything wrong. Guilt is usually of two types- when a person does wrong, he is ought to feel guilty. The other scenario is when a person blames himself for every unfortunate or unhappy moment that is faced by his/her loved ones. Here, the latter feeling is something that exterminates a person’s ability to stay happy from inside.
Often, we become so soft and considerate towards our loved ones that we forget to give ourselves a happy life. We remain indulged in them, which is good but to the extent that we do not lose track of what we want. Prioritizing them on everything becomes so important that we tend to frame ourselves around them and their contentment. But have we realized how it affects us? The moment we try to do something for ourselves leads us to think about what if they do not like it. Even if we do it, the unceasing emotion of guilt loiters in our mind.
It is time we realize that doing something for oneself without feeling guilty is fine. It is completely normal to be self-seeking when it comes to our dreams, hope, and ambition. We do not need to think of everyone; what they will say, how they will react, and so on. We must focus on the good things that we wish to fulfill for ourselves. If they really care about us and love us, they will be happy no matter what. It's time we act on ourselves and end the guilt of associating with others’ thoughts and viewpoints. No one really cares and the ones who do, they want us to be better. We being in a better place and living our dreams happily will bring contentment in our life. Let's sojourn for an instance and reflect upon ourselves and be brave enough to accept our mistakes and correct them. Life is too short to spend in guilt, rather make every moment count. Always remember the more we think of how others will feel; the more we are closing the doors towards a chance. A chance to be ourselves; a chance to explore what we love. Bounce the chance to discover what our heart really wants and then; trust me; everything else will seem typical. Let’s fetch that nerve within us; and not fear to say what we actually aspire; without GUILT!
