Driving yourself deep into thoughts. The most common thing that comes to our mind in any situation is that 'we never expected in this way!' Well, expectations have been an integral part of our span of life. We hardly can do anything without expecting anything in return. But here the question arises- "Is it good to hold expectations?'
The answer is not always easy to predict. Expectations are something that is often misplaced with desires. While both of them are completely different. We all have expectations. They are seen through the heart and are completely okay! It's completely fine to expect a reward when we do the hard work. It is fine to expect some love in return from the person we love. It is fine to expect gifts on birthdays.
The present scenario of how expectations have been portrayed as some mere weakness is pathetic. It's humane to expect and very well should be expressed. The so-called theory of don't hold expectations for it will hurt are not applicable in the practical world! We as humans are alive on feelings and expectations are a very small part of it. Instead of reforming some peculiar norms and status, we must rely on how actually to free our thoughts and behavior as normal. We should not complain about how others feel and categorize them as weak or strong. We should instead listen will make a huge difference.
Expecting something is okay and not at all selfish or being weak. It's that we all need to normalize things and not create random stuff for the fact of not facing the consequences. Some feelings make us strong, teach us the basic right and wrong, let's not sway them away!
